Calliope, muse of Epic poetry. Calliope is often represented as a beautiful and majestic young girl with a golden crown on her forehead. As the Muse of Poetry, her role is to inspire men.
This wine is made from vines planted in an area classified as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, between two of the Rhône Valley's must-sees, Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles de Montmirail, on clay and limestone soils. Ideal conditions for the elaboration of light and fruity wines.
Calliopé is composed of 5% Rolle, 15% Syrah, 20% Cinsault, and 60% Grenache. The Rolle, Syrah and Cinsault bring fruit and freshness to the wines, while the Grenache gives them structure, allowing the wines to be enjoyed young.
The vines for this cuvée are harvested manually, in the cool of the morning, and are vinified by grape variety so that each can express its characteristics independently of the others. The grapes are first pressed whole and then vinified at low temperature to optimize the work of vinification by plot.
