Thalie, "the Joyous", "the Blossoming", is the muse presiding over Comedy, epigrams and feasts. She is generally credited with the invention of geometry and agriculture. She was also responsible for monitoring the growth of trees.
The Thalie vintage is composed of 100% Syrah, the emblematic grape variety of AOC Crozes Hermitage, giving the wine floral aromas of violets, licorice and spices. Its structure is powerful, ensuring an excellent ageing potential.
The grapes are harvested at optimal maturity and the berries macerate for about two weeks, with frequent punching down and pumping over, for a better extraction of the aromas and color. The temperature of the vats is controlled throughout the fermentation process to get the best out of the berries. The wine is then aged in vats for eight months and in bottles for six months.
This AOC Crozes Hermitage is, like the Muse Thalie, an invitation to a feast. It concentrates all the qualities of Syrah.
This wine is a tasty blend of cocoa and Morello cherries. After a few seconds, delicious notes of spices, currants and brown tobacco tickle the nostrils. On the palate, salty flavors accompany the flinty aromas. The whole is elegant, velvety and fresh at the same time.
Thalie is the perfect wine to accompany your feasts composed of pork tenderloin, or veal Orloff.
